Interviews for Internship...

Blogger distorted as usual... >.<

Shipment from Wuhan had finally reached my house yesterday...
and I was shocked to see the box came distorted,
and the textbooks, notebooks and files inside were almost in half...
and the box was damn smelly... >.<
Still,
I'm glad my box came safely...
and the stuffs inside were "alright"...
Not torn or lost,
just a bit out of shape... >.<

Went for 3 interviews so far,
First one at Cutting Edge,
which went well...
Second one at SPH,
and I think it was alright,
though my mind went blank when the interviewer(He was the editor of WanBao.) asked me some questions.
Dunno why I could not answer the questions in a better way... >.<
Third one at Ochre Pictures,
which is damn far away from my house.
(It's along Upper Paya Lebar Road, and I live at Jurong.)
The thought of having to travel so far for one semester made me give up the position at Ochre Pictures.

I dun think I will be having any more calls from the companies...
I will know where I will be posted to in September.
Meanwhile,
I will continue to enjoy my holidays!

Went to watch Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince with my sis last friday.
I enjoyed the movie,
though the part where Dumbledore died wasn't much a climax. >.<
Can't wait for the 7th movie to come.
I heard that the last book will be shooting in 2 parts,
so we have to wait for about 2 years I think.
Oh man.

xiaogui's mini album 不屑 is finally in my hands!
Signed by him too! (yahx, I've got one of his very few signed cube. ^^v)
yay! ^^
I sort of reserved the album at CD-Rama last last week cuz it was sold out!
and I was so glad when CD-Rama called last thursday!
I'm listening to his album now!

Went to Seoul Garden @ Marina Square for BUFFET...
I was so full that I could not stand up...
well, almost...
(one thing is muscle ache lahx... >.<)

Solar Eclipse!

On the 22nd July 2009,

The Sun disappeared from the sky.

At 9am,
the sky was dark as though it was 9pm.

After about 5 mins,
the Sun came back to shine Mother Earth as usual.

It was awesome!

It's a pity that I'm not in Wuhan to catch this rare phenomenon.
But it worth to wake up early in the morning to catch this on TV.
(I woke up at 7am.)
I was so amazed to see our beautiful Sun disappeared from the sky.
From the TV,
the Sun looks like a moon.
It seems so far away.
Especially when the Sun is shadowed by the Moon,
the shape of the Sun does look like a cresent moon.
and the sky darkens as though it's night time.

(This took around half an hour and I stared at the TV for half an hour to see this.)

The Sun, almost gone.

If we did not know about science and the knowledge why the Sun disappeared,
we would really believe that the Celestial Dog has eaten the Sun. (What a legend!)
And I was amazed with the scientists that they can calculate where and when the solar eclipse will take place so accurately.
Science is amazing.

Went to watch "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" with CuiShan on Tuesday.
The movie has been showing for about a month and yet there were about 30++ people watching the movie that day.
I was abit shocked to see so many people watching the movie.
Though the magazine's rating for the movie is not good,
I still enjoyed the movie very much.
Shia Labeouf seemed to have grown up in this movie.
More man than the last time I saw him.
But the main leads are still Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee.
And I like the twins,
they are a funny pair,
reminds me of Fred and George Weasley in Harry Potter.
And I'm trying to forget the disgusting woman-turned-alien. (Sam keeps shouting: "Tongue! Tongue!")
LOL

But I'm amazed with the technology we see in the movie.
I enjoyed the movie.

Hmm...

My Boring Schedule...

For the past few weeks,
I have been staying at home like an otaku (宅女).

This is my daily schedule:

0900 hrs - 1000 hrs: Wake up and wash up.
1000 hrs - 1300 hrs: Eat breakfast and use laptop.
1300 hrs - 1400 hrs: Eat lunch.
1400 hrs - 1700 hrs: Do housework or help my mum.
or read magazines or staring into space.
1700 hrs - 1800 hrs: Watch 100% Entertainment.
1800 hrs - 2000 hrs: Bathe and eat dinner.
2000 hrs - 2300 hrs: Watch TV.
2300 hrs - 0900 hrs (the next day): Sleep and wake up.

Oh my...
what a boring schedule.

Anyway,
I have watched "20th Century Boys 2" with my sis last friday.
It's not bad,
and I'm glad Kenji-kun is back in Part 3.
I can't wait for the Part 3 to come!

Gonna watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Ice Age, Transformers.
It's movie time!

I have done a good deed today!

I'm in a good mood today!

Why?
Cuz I did a good deed today!
It's nice to hear someone saying thank you to you.
heex...

I went to the post office with my Dad as he has to pay for the road tax or something.
Then we saw this old man in his sixties,
holding on to a small parcel waiting at the start of the line.
The old man keep letting others who were queuing behind him to go first.
It's weird though and my Dad asked him (in Chinese):
"Why aren't you going to the counters?"
The old man replied that he don't know how to speak English and the people behind the counters are Malays.

So I offered to help him.

The old man wanted to mail a small parcel to a friend in China.
I helped to translate the procedure to the old man,
and successfully mailed his parcel.
The procedure was not long,
but I spent an hour at the post office.

Well,
this 1 hour is a meaningful hour.
I helped an old man and did a good deed.

I was smiling when I walked out from the post office.

昨天在Channel 5观看了"The Day After Tommorrow"

我第一次被电影震撼到了。

电影是讲述世界将面临一次大变化，
是人类的破坏导致了这次的大危机。
日本连续几天下着大雨，
突然一块大冰雹从天而降。
英国已经被埋没在大雪里。
而美国的连日大雨引来了大海啸，
连自由女神都在水里游泳。
世界气候变得反常，
这些都是因为全球变暖。
人类终于得到报应，
害地球等于害自己。

还好，
有一个英雄出来拯救半个世界。
Jack Hall （Dennis Quaid饰）很有魅力。身为美国政府的气候研究专家，即使政府不相信他的结论，Jack也不放弃，尽他的全力拯救世界。
Sam Hall （Jake Gyllenhaal饰）很聪明，遗传了他老爸的聪明和勇气，看他尽自己的能力保护朋友和心上人，的确很帅。

这部电影让我开始思索，
我们真的要在度过一次的Ice Age吗？
我们是否能做些什么来阻止这一切呢？
人类的发明是伟大的，
但是后果却是...伤害地球。

是时候对自己说：
我要保护地球。
我要尽自己的能力保护地球。

Santa Claus for a Day... =P

I'm the Santa Claus for today!

I went to Malaysia to visit my relatives today.
need to officially announce that:
I'm back!
hahax...

My role for today:
Giving out the presents I have bought for them.
there's soft toys and food...
and I'm so glad my little cousins like the soft toys alot!
as for the adults,
I bought some biscuits from China...
Cuz I really dunno what to buy. >.<

One thing to add:
My favourite Yong Tau Foo store in Malaysia still taste the same as 4 months ago!
I miss it so much while in China...
Super yummy! ^^

Anyway,
I had a written test last Friday.
To apply for a job (actually it's internship lahx...) in SPH.
The test was not difficult, but it was not easy either.
It pointed out some common mistakes we commonly made.
and suddenly I realised,
maybe my Chinese is not up to standard yet...
>.<

And I start to wonder,
what will happen to me after I have graduated next year in April?
hmm...

回来已经是第5天了。

回来第一件做的事就是：吃！
哈哈！
像ZJ说的，
Eating is priority！
新加坡的食物实在是太好吃了！XD

这几天，
很多人都问我：“会想念武汉吗？”
这么简单的问题，
我却不知道要怎么回答。

我不会想念武汉，
因为对我来说，
武汉不是我向往的地方。

但是，
我会想念和朋友在一起的时光，
跟他们一起玩、一起闹。

不过，
我不得不说，
在武汉的这4个多月，
我成长了许多，
也让我看到了外面的世界。
我不会忘记武汉这个地方。

I'm finally back in Singapore!

The Immersion Trip in Wuhan is an experience for me,
I will not forget the days with SzeMian, WanYan, ZhiHui, CuiShan, ChongLei, SinTheng, JinYu, XiuMin, HuiWen, Jana, ShinRu, Vina, YiQi, Solange and the rest of the CHS...
Thank you for everything,
be it a small matter like comforting me when I missed home,
or a big matter like when we had the accident on the way to Sanxia...
Our friendships are strong.
All of you have played a role in my life,
making my life full of colours...
I'm so glad that we have known each other.
May our friendships stay always.

OH GREAT!

IT WAS SAID THAT THE WATER SUPPLY WILL BE CUT OFF FROM 11PM TO 6AM.
AND THIS WILL LAST FOR ONE FREAKING MONTH!
AND THE TIME NOW IS 1030PM AND THE WATER HAS BEEN CUT OFF.
WTH.

CAN'T THEY JUST FOLLOW THE TIME AS STATED?
CUT OFF WATER SUPPLY BEFORE 11PM,
THEY JUST CANNOT BE ON TIME IZZIT?

the chinese literature test today was okie,
since it's open book test,
I dun have to memorise those countries' names and dates and many other stuffs...
It's just too hard to memorise!!!
I'm so glad that we asked for the test to be open booked...
but my hands are tired from writing those big chunks of words...

Finally updated my blog...

Internet was cut off on Monday night...
cuz some wire or cable was spoilt...
and we were told that the internet will be back on Thursday evening...
Still, I'm so glad the internet is back today!

Let me update to you about my second singing session in Wuhan!
Went to a very super class KTV last Friday!
and sang more than 5 hours!
and I only spent RMB$24.50 only! (which is around SGD$5-6 only!)
OMG!

This time I sang to my satisfaction!
and I want to go sing again!
It's too cheap!!

它是我们宿舍附近的一只狗，很温顺。我是一个怕狗的人，不过它很可爱，也不会靠近我，所以我不会怕他。

后来还成为国君呢！
昨天老师在讲课时，
就提到“公子小白”...

我好像变了...

而且变了很多。

来到武汉后，
我变得越来越迟睡觉。
以前，
11点就去睡的小白，
现在不超过12点是不会去睡觉的。
对不起妈咪，
没有听你的话...>.<

我也变得越来越沉迷于偶像剧了。
最近看了《命中注定我爱你》，
超好看的！
阮经天很帅！^^
*咳嗽*
言归正传，
因为一直在追戏，
我就无法好好地专心温习功课。
不过，
我已经看完了《命中》了。
而且也决定不再看戏了，
除了《娱百》之外。^^
这么一来，我就可以专心读书了。（希望啦）

还有，
我好像变得越来越疯了。
如果，
因为我的疯狂使你们感到困扰的话，
真的不好意思啦！
呵呵...

我想，
唯一不变的是我的...
...脾气吧？

I'm here to update again!

Played basketball this morning with cuishan, wanyan, zhihui, sin theng, chonglei...
It was fun...
I have not perspired ever since I reached Wuhan...
Today is a great day to exercise...
I just love the SUN!!
hope the weather will remain like this till we fly back...
to me,
this weather is just perfect for anything!
hahax...

Went to East gate (东门) yesterday with zhihui and wanyan...
the weather was fine yesterday...
I bought quite a lot of stuffs...
and spent quite a lot too... >.<

We had our lunch at a steak house at East Gate...
the ambiance was not bad...
ate the chicken steak...
(dun really dare to eat pork due to the outbreak of swine flu...
though now it is said that pigs have nothing to do with this swine flu... >.<)

3 T-shirts at RMB$14 each... the last one is for leilei... =)

FINALLY!
a SHORT break after being TIED down by the assignments for so long!

After a presentation on Wednesday,
me, zhihui, wanyan, vina and yiqi went to sing K together...
the place was quite big and nice,
but the service was... err... not so good...
and the singing session was not enough...
we just sang for 2 and half hour,
from 4.30pm till 7pm...
cuz from 7pm onwards,
the charge rates are different...
more expensive... >.<
I want to go singing again!

SzeMian's mum had reached Wuhan on Tuesday,
and I have been left alone in the hostel since...
it's not bad actually,
with the whole room to myself!

had a sleepover at zhihui and wanyan's room last last night...
talking lots of nonsense and funny stuffs...
It was fun,
zhihui was so funny...
made me laughing non stop...
now I know why they make so much noise in the night...
(don't think horny... hahax)

oh yahx!
I'm having half day off on monday!!
cuz it's youth day in China!
YAY!
which means I have 3 and half days of holidays!
but I have 2 mid-sem papers next week...

cuz I went to do MANICURE last Friday!
it was quite fun, and that was my first time doing manicure...
(I always do manicure on my own...)
it feels nice and relaxed to have someone doing your nails...
(It's kind of troublesome doing manicure on your own...)

OH, forget to mention the price...
RMB$25!
very cheap right?
as compared to Singapore...
Where can you get a manicure at SGD$5-6? lol

Day 3 @ Beijing

Our first stop of the day was the Temple of Heaven, known as 天坛(TianTan) in Chinese.
It was quite interesting to see many elderly people doing all kinds of activities...

This was our last day at Beijing, and of course, eat Peking Duck was a must! After a disgusting experience of the first "Peking Duck", we decided to order REAL Peking Duck on our own expenses... and we came to this place, one of the 4 top Peking Duck Restaurant in Beijing...

We went to see the tombs of the Ming dynasty (actually, it's a museum)
and I was expecting to see 13 tombs! (Cuz there were 13 Ming tombs...)
But in the end,
there was just one tomb for us to see...
LOL!

First day at Beijing...

this is the day 1...

Time: 9pm

We reached the train station at Wu Chang to board train straight to Beijing.
and WOW!
the train station is packed with people!
it was scary,
this is much more crowded than the mrt stations at peak hours...

I was shocked that the bunk is so small!!
I can't even sit up straight while on the bed...
lolx...

Wanyan... She hit her head 3 times while on the bed... this show's that the bunk is really small and squeezy!

We reached Beijing at 7am and the tour guide took us to Tiananmen Square.
Man, it's really big!
and there were lots of people too!!

We managed to see the body of Mao Zedong.
after queuing up for around 2 hrs...
there is no pictures as we were not allowed to bring cameras in...
the body was lying in the middle of the hall,
with security guards standing at the side...
the whole hall was silent (quite lahx...) and solemn...
though the whole process is not more than 5 mins,
I think this is an interesting experience to see the body of Mao.

Next stop,
we went to the Imperial Palace.
again, lots of people...
I always thought that the Imperial Palace is magnificent and beautiful...
but when I reached the Imperial Palace,
it's different from what I think...
and the whole journey was kind of frustrating
cuz there were too many people,
and I could not see the structure of each hall...

Well,
I'm back to Wuhan...
Reached at 8.10am yesterday...
With lessons for the whole day...

After this trip to Beijing,
all I can say is
"I'm kind of disappointed."
and Wuhan is much better in many ways...

This trip was all right,
visited many tourist attractions,
it should be fun right?

BUT,
there were MANY MANY people...
too many people...
really "people mountain people seas, water cannot entry"
and the tour guide at Beijing was...
...no good.

and Beijing was different from what I thought...
the culture, the tourist attractions and the city,
was kind of disappointing.
feel like kenna cheated by the Beijing Olympic Games...
had high expectations and
big disappointment...

But I still had fun,
I like the Great Wall of China,
managed to climb to the fourth tower (which is 888m above sea level)
the 天坛 (Temple of Heaven "TianTan") was interesting,
with many elderly doing all kinds of activities.
The Forbidden City was quite disappointing,
as there were many people,
and I did not manage to see the beautiful furniture and structure in the palace.
(did not want to squeeze into the crowd...)
Tiananmen Square was really big,
so big that we used half an hour to walk to the other side...
managed to see the body of Mao Zedong,
it's a rare opportunity.

I will upload the photos and elaborate more when I get the photos from Vina, Sze Mian, Zhi Hui, Wanyan, Sin Theng, Chong Lei, JinYu, CS and others...

今天，终于看到了武汉大学的樱花和游了东湖。
第一次看到樱花，
没有想象中的美。

因为，
春季即将过去，
樱花也都快凋谢了。

不过，
能够看到樱花，
也是一种满足吧。

一个月过去了...

我不敢相信我昨天竟然从早上7点半逛街逛到下午5点半！
天啊，我们8个人就在汉口的老鼠街“阵亡”了。
虽然说，shopping是女人的专利。
但是，这还是第一次，打了败战。

汉口离学校很远。
所以要搭德士（这里人是说“搭低”）去。
为了成为汉口的第一个顾客（这样才比较容易杀价！），
我们早上7点半就出发了！
这还是我第一次为了逛街，
这么早起床。

汉口有10个Bugis这么大吧。
单单老鼠街就有5个Bugis了。
真的很大！
老鼠街实在有太多太多的衣服鞋子了。
我看了眼花缭乱。
手也不自觉地一直买，一直买。
结果，在一天内，
就花了超过RMB$500。

我好对不起我的爹地和妈咪。
这样地花你们的钱。
不过，这里的东西还蛮便宜的耶！
我还学会了杀价哦。
不过，我都不好意思杀价，
毕竟他们是在做生意嘛。
所以都不敢杀太多。>.<

不过，我前阵子买一个帽子。
是维尼熊的！
可爱吧？我可是想了一阵子才决定买的。绝对不是“冲动性购物”哦！=P

一个月过去了，
我竟然花了超过RMB$3400！！
昨天在计算时，
差点晕倒。
真的要收敛一点了。
因为这个星期五就要去北京了。
到北京肯定会花钱的！
希望不会又再“阵亡”了。

3 weeks have passed...

well, 3 weeks have passed since I reached Wuhan...
nothing much happened...
it's school and watching dramas life...
really a 宅女 le...

like said in my previous post...
we experienced our first blackout on thursday...
the electricity of the whole west side of the uni was cut off...
our hostel, our classroom and even the shops nearby was affected...
the power was cut off from 9am till 5pm...
by 5pm, everyone was cursing and swearing...
but we still had to wait...

and finally, the power supply come back at 7pm(or later)...
so we went to our room and happily switched on the lights...
but 5mins later, (snap) and the lights went off...
and this continued every 5mins interval... what the...
and by the time the power stablised...
it was already 11pm...
that goes one whole day without lights and water(for washing)
bathing in the dark is not a good experience...
especially when you are still not familiar with the environment here...
plus the water was cold...

I really hope that this will not happen again...
really hope so...

on wed, we went to a shopping center called Dayang（大洋百货） shopping centre...
it was hugh!!
I think it is twice the size of vivo...
but nothing much to shop...
nothing attracts me...
but I bought a keychain for jianqin when I went into a shop selling manga items...
(hope you like it brother...)

the keychain... it's Bleach-Ichigo's Zangetsu...

then we went to the another shopping centre and realised it is not a shopping centre...
it is a hugh bookstore...
I think it's larger than the Chongwen bookstore, but messier...
I still prefer Chongwen bookstore...
and I bought 2 chinese novels at RMB50(around SGD$10)... RMB25 each...
till now, I have not started reading the novels...
no time to read...
maybe I will read them when I get back home? >.< 2 chinese novels written by taiwanese authors...

Right now, I am chionging my assignment...
have a presentation this coming tuesday...

真是倒霉透了

来到武汉后，觉得我真的很倒霉。
刚到宿舍时，宿舍楼旁边正在做建筑。
到处都是灰尘。
来不到半个月，我们的网络就出现问题。
现在才第3个星期，就断水断电。
而且还断了一整天！
虽然现在有水有电，但是水是肮脏的，电也不稳定。
我也不知道网络什么时候又会没有了，所以现在赶快写部落格。

（又断电了！）

今天到外面吃午餐时，差点滑倒，也差点扭伤我的脚。
幸好思敏及时扶我，不然我有可能滚下那个斜坡。
现在我的脚有点痛。
真后悔没有带yokoyoko和salonpas。

你说，我是不是很倒霉？
真是倒霉透了。
唉。

sore throat since sun, ate the lozenges but it got worse yesterday... I'm losing my voice... omg... keep coughing non stop... >.<

and the air here makes my cough even worse, especially when a vehicle drives past, the dust and everything affects my throat... damn...

I want my voice back!!

and I'm drinking lots and lots of water but the cough doesn't seem to get any better... even pipagao is not working!! lol.

I just hope that I will get well before going to Beijing... scared the "sandstorm" will worsen my condition... >.<

Food...

Welcome to littlewhite's food show episode 1. Today's menu is Wuhan food. Well, let me introduce you the food in Wuhan...

There are fast food restaurants we are familiar with, like KFC, Macdonald and Pizza Hut. The food is almost the same as Singapore, the price are about the same too. Eg, McWings costed about SGD$5 while it cost RMB 16 here. and I realised China Pizza Hut's pizza taste better than in Singapore, more crunchy... heex..

The pepperoni pizza!! I love the cheese!!

There are many chinese restaurants here, when we first reached Wuhan, the school brought us to a restaurant in the campus, 桂香园, and we ate food we never see in Singapore, such as: A "look kind of raw" meat with bun. It is a special dish in the northern part of China. You have to eat the meat together with the bun.

One common dish in Wuhan is the brinjal. I never like brinjals, so I never try this dish. 芦笋。I think it's called bamboo shoots in english... not my type too...

Fish with lots of bones... Taste alright, just that the bones are too much...
This is my favorite dish!! Sweet and sour meat! But I still prefer Singapore style of cooking of this dish.

We went to another restaurant in the campus, it's called 桂苑. Here are some pictures of the food...

This is a special dish, wrapped with banana leaf, the fillings are glutinous rice... smell nice and taste not bad... =)
Fish with many bones... This dish is quite spicy and I cannot "dahan" spicy... >.< Black fungus... This one is not bad...

Another dish of bamboo shoots, a different way of cooking... I think this one is quite oily... >.<

The 3rd restaurant I want to talk about is 博雅园. The food here is super nice and super cheap!! we ordered 17 dishes cuz there are 15 of us... and the meal cost us RMB$17 each, which is around SGD$5!! cheap right?! Start drooling bahx...

Five flower meat (五花肉)... It's nice and crunchy... ^^

Pork cutlet!! This dish is so-so...

Seaweed with egg soup... not bad too...

This is our desert!! very sweet and nice... it's 拔丝香蕉/苹果... it has maltose syrup(麦芽糖) on it... but it get sticky very easily, so you have to grab it once it's served...

I have been complaining so much lately... so to my friends and roommate Mian, sorry for being such a complain queen... I did not mean to, but really, there are too many things for me to complain here... the internet, the international calls, the technology, the rudeness, etc...

Maybe I have high expectations of Wuhan, that's why I complain so much... am I taking things for granted? This is not like me...

After today's lesson on intercultural business communication... I realised that maybe it is me who have high expectations of Wuhan... but when we reached here, things did not turn out the way I want... so that's why I'm homesick so much?? But I really miss everything in Singapore... haiz...

had 2 lessons today, with 4 hours in between... so me, mian, zhihui and wanyan went to Wushang to buy some grocery... I bought a book Ashin wrote: 浪漫的逃亡... selling at RMB 45(around SGD$10)... with the book and the concert dvd!! so attractive... I had to think twice as I have only RMB500 to spend for the rest of the month... the power of Ashin is too strong... hahax...

A New Classroom!!

Yupx, we have a new classroom... It is just right beside our hostel... Yay!! I don't have to walk a long way to the old building... but, our new classroom is on the last floor, which is the fifth floor... and we have to climb all the way up!! well, there is no lift... just like in secondary school, we have to climb all the way to the 3rd or 4th floor. It is still better than the old classroom, at least everything is new. (including the toilet!! it's much cleaner than the one in old building...) and we are the first batch to use the new classroom, so there isn't anyone in the building... a whole building to ourselves!!

Monday blues...

Sitting 2 by 2 reminds me of secondary school days...

The space between the seats are quite small, so we have to adjust the seats to the back... and there are cushions on the chairs, quite comfortable... heex...

Okie, I had 3 lessons in the new classroom today, quite boring, keep yawning during lessons.... and I did not print any notes for one of the lessons so we have to print them after lessons ended. I spent RMB 25(Around SGD$5-$6) for printing 200 plus pages... quite reasonable horx...

By the way, our NP deputy principal came to Wuhan today... talked to us while we are having our media lessons... It's nice to see someone from our school and I have never seen our principal or deputy principal before... quite 佩服 that they can climb all the way up to fifth floor with such age... hahax... but the deputy principal made our mouths water when he said roti prata and chao kway tiao... oh my god... i miss singapore food and mummy's cooking very much!!

As for yesterday, Mian and I stayed in the hostel watching shows on laptops... almost turned into 宅女... watched the dvds I bought on fri at the newly open cultural street in the campus as the internet here was super slow and kept disconnected from the internet for the past few days... so sianx... the internet seems fine now and hope that the internet will be alright tonight... I want to chat with my family online... talking on the phone is so troublesome and the reception is no good too... haix...

I miss home very much... I miss Singapore's clean air and environment... I miss the food... I miss my friends... I miss the smooth internet back home!! >.<

well, I will be back in 116 days... please, can the time fly faster?

漫长的一天...

这几天都没有update，因为这里的网络出现问题，不能上网，觉得有点“闲”。平时都上网和家人聊天，但是这几天就必须用电话联络。然后电话的收讯又不好，说到一半会挂掉，这里的设施也太差劲了吧？

说一说今天吧。今天是一个漫长的一天，一整天都在外面。我们早上就去了湖北省博物馆和“游”了东湖。之后和Ray老师到南门的乐乐家常饭吃午餐。然后再走40分钟的路程到崇文书城逛。好远也好累哦！

先说一说在博物馆的事吧。这是我第一次看到进入博物馆是需要排队的！在新加坡是看不到的哦！不过，因为我们的学校有预约的安排（还需要预约来去博物馆？！），所以可以直接从后门进入博物馆。可惜，我没有拍到排场龙的照片。

博物馆展示了很多的古代的物品，像王妃的首饰、皇帝用的餐具、贵族的陵墓等。拍了好多照片，不过实在太懒惰upload，就给你看一些就好吧！

离开了博物馆后，我们就“游”东湖。不过，我们没有下车，而是在巴士上，沿着东湖走。我觉得东湖的景色蛮一般的，不过东湖很大，也很深。我们还看到很多人在钓鱼，用超级大的鱼竿。又粗又大，这个在新加坡也看不到的哦！

回学校的路上，就在巴士上就小睡了一会儿。其实从东湖回到学校并不远，但是因为塞车，所以还可以在巴士上睡。后来因为路上的喇叭声太吵了，就醒了。还好醒来了，因为有到爸爸妈妈打来的电话。=)

对了，我有说过这里的文化吗？我觉得我还是没有办法适应这里的文化。在这里过马路，是人让车，而不是车让人。当你过马路时，如果有车驾过来的话，会一直按喇叭声。我觉得好没有礼貌哦！好像停车一下下会怎么样，而且这里是学校耶。何必走这么快呢？即使有路牌显示不要按喇叭，他们都不理会。而且还有“谨慎驾驶”的招牌，不过是摆美的吧？唉！在这里过马路，真的好恐怖。

下午的时候，就和Ray老师，和一些同学到南门的乐乐家常饭是午餐。我们12个人吃，叫了10样菜，一个人才大约RMB10而已。我觉得好便宜哦！不过，菜都好辣哦。我还是喜欢吃新加坡的食物。好想念哦！

之后，老师就带我们到崇文书城。有好多书哦，好像新加坡的Kinokuniya书店一样。不过，那里离我的学校有40分钟的路程（走路），好远哦。所以我想如果没有什么东西买的话，应该不会常到那里去。

逛了之后，回到宿舍就5点多了。感觉腿好酸，不想再出门了。其实呆在宿舍也不错啦，可以看电视剧、偶像剧或是综艺节目。哈哈。听起来很像宅女吧？

到武汉有1个礼拜了。还是不习惯。这里的空气很干燥，也有很多灰尘和雾。真的很想念新加坡干净的空气和食物。希望4个半月赶快过去。

好了，我要去睡了，明天是星期天，应该不会出去吧。好好在宿舍里休息吧！晚安！^^

为什么我这么不小心呢？

今天原本应该是快乐的一天，因为上课的时间满短的，在中间的4个小时里，就去武商那里买了一双手套，很漂亮，也很保暖。但是，才拿在手上不到5个小时，我竟然把其中一只手套给弄丢了！真的好心痛，虽然不是很贵，但是我真的很喜欢这双手套。对自己太失望了，迷糊到一种地步，连手套丢了都不知道。唉。。。

非常谢谢芝蕙陪我去找手套，害你白跑了一趟。

今天的课堂还算轻松，下午的课是商务沟通课，老师为了要认识我们，就利用了这两个小时的时间要我们介绍自己和我们的作业小组。大家的自我介绍还蛮一致的，就如老师说，跟着第一位走，缺少了创意。>.< 不过，我们在介绍我们的作业小组时，就比较活泼。思敏，宛燕，芝蕙，让我们一起加油吧！反而，昨天的楚文化课就比较闷。老师就一直说一直说，我的头就一直垂一直垂。真的又累又冷。在楚文化课之前，还有一堂多媒体课（类似电脑课），在9号楼上课。原本以为我们的课室离8号楼不远（很多课都是在8号楼上课），怎么知道，9号楼一点也不靠近我们常去的8号楼。天气又冷，路又长，好累哦。然后，我们就用中文软件上课。哇，电脑课一点也不好玩。实在不习惯用中文软件，英文的就容易多了。加上辅导老师说话又快，很难听懂她要说什么。

吃了靠近宿舍的一档卖炒饭的，味道不错，不过还是少了新加坡炒饭的味道。好想念新加坡的食物和天气啊！现在才知道有太阳是多么的温暖。4个半月快点过去吧。

真搞不懂为什么这么大的一间学校，竟然没有暖炉。天气真的好冷啊！

很期待也很希望下个星期的天气会暖和一些。

It's Snowing!!

Today is the first day of school in Wuhan... I was quite sleepy in class today cuz I did not sleep well last night... Still getting used to the bed here...

When I woke up in the morning, I realized that it was snowing outside. So Mian and I had a quick bite and went downstairs to take pictures of the snow... This is my first time seeing snow, though the snowflakes were quite small... but it is still an experience.

Well, after admiring the snow with my other classmates and teachers, we proceeded to the classroom which is no where near our hostel!! I wondered who said that the classroom is 5 mins away from the hostel? The ground was quite slippery cuz of the snow, it's wet when the snow falls to the ground. (It was not snowing hard enough to have thick layer of snow on the ground... Sad... I was looking forward to throw snowballs... hahax...) There was one thing bad about the classroom, there was no heater!! And I was shivering after sitting in the class for about an hour. I was wearing 5 layers of clothes, and doing running on the spot during break time, but the coldness did not go away... >.< It was hard paying attention to teachers cuz I was tired and freezing cold...

As I mentioned in the previous blog, I went shopping yesterday, first to the Chicony Mall, which was something like Taka in Singapore... Quite high class, but the service was not efficient enough. I bought a pair of leggings but I have to pay at the counter first before collecting my item. But there was a problem in the pricing so as a result, we waited for almost half an hour to pay... what the... then we went to the food court at the basement to eat and realised that we have to get a food value card (Just like in Kopitiam...). Since we don't have the card, we went to the food court at level 7 and ate steamboat with wanyan, mian and jinyu... there was this sweet art outside the food court, it was so beautiful and I bought a Peacock sweet to eat...

Then in the evening, we went to WuShang Mall to buy more items, like pillows and some tibits... then I bought even more stuffs for myself!! See the pictures!!
Finally!! I have longed for this album since last december, but it was SGD$24 to $30. So I decided to buy it here... and I grabbed it when I saw it at the supermarket, selling at RMB$65 (About SGD$15) only!! It's ORIGINAL!!

Another bargain... I bought this winter jacket with Jinyu as it was 2 for RMB$120, so its RMB$60(Around SGD$13) each!! damn cheap!!

Pooh Wallet!! Nice?? I bought it at RMB$108(Around SGD$25)... There was a shop selling winnie the pooh merchandises, bags and wallets!! That will be my favourite store in WuShang!!^^

aching all over...

Yupx... I'm aching all over... why? One reason is we bought too many stuffs at the supermarket yesterday, and we walked all the way back to the hostel (which is so far away, and it was raining too...). I was perspiring, and feeling cold at the same time. Somemore we started to clean the hostel after we got back(It was damn dirty in the first place...), swept the floor, mopped it clean and changed the bed sheets... It's much better now, really.

So when I woke up just now, my shoulders were aching and feeling very tired... hmm, I think I have minor sore throat too... must drink more water...>.<

Another reason must be the bed... It's a bit hard, and the pillow is not thick enough... So I think I will buy a pillow when i go shopping later.

I just washed my undergarments and socks, first time washing clothes and I think I did not bad. hahax.

Will meet cs they all later to go shopping, so will update again.

第一次...

这一次去武汉浸濡，有很多第一次。

第一次搭飞机，
第一次感受到气流，
第一次上飞机的厕所（是真空的！好恐怖！）
第一次感受这么冷的天气（才3摄氏度！）
第一次在一个陌生的环境睡觉（这和camping不同...）
还有，
第一次到中国，武汉。

这么早写日记，是因为我睡不着。昨晚，原本应该昨天写日记才对，但是和家人说话有点迟了，人也累了，所以才决定今天告诉大家我在武汉的第一天。

昨天，我早上6点到机场，准备搭8点飞往广州的班机。场面有些混乱，学生、家长全部聚集在机场Terminal 1, Row 4。当每个人都check-in之后，拍了几张大合照，就准备上飞机了。一些同学们都哭了，但是我强忍着泪水，因为我不想让我妈妈担心。妈妈常说，反正哭也没用，还是必须靠自己的。是啊，但是人是有感情的，昨天和家人聊天时，还是忍不住哭了。好想念他们哦！

在飞往广州的4个小时旅程中，我想了很多。老实说，我不知道我能不能适应。早就习惯有爸爸妈妈在身旁，这次，却是自己一个人。

到了广州，那里的天气和新加坡差不多一样，20多摄氏度。我们在机场吃了麦当劳午餐，价钱我觉得也没有相差很多。之后，在3点多时，就搭国内的飞机到武汉了。虽然从广州到武汉只需一个多钟头，两个地方的天气和温度却相差太多了！昨天抵达武汉时，飞机的播报员就说：“目前武汉的气温是约3摄氏度。由于气温有差别...”当我们走出机舱的那一瞬间，就觉得“好冷！”为了不让自己着凉，我们都很快地换上冬装，手套、围巾，一个也不能少。连说话都能看到气的形状。真的很冷！

走出机场时，武汉的华中师范大学的老师都在等我们了。安排我们上巴士，然后就载我们到华中大学。又是一个小时多的路程。武汉目前是“日短夜长”，到了傍晚6点多，天就黑得像是晚上8-9点一样。然后早上6点就天亮了。因为外面是雾蒙蒙的，所以从机场到学校我没有办法看到武汉的夜景。到了学校，从温度刚刚好的巴士下车后，马上就觉得很冷。还好，负责人员带我们到学校的一家餐厅用餐，热腾腾的菜就摆在我们眼前，让我们觉得很温暖。虽然有8样菜1碗汤（古老肉、菠菜、番茄蛋、鱼、豆腐等，还有放了麻油的多菇[也就是很多不同种类的蘑菇]汤），但是他们却没有提供饭。不知道是为什么。

之后，我们就到宿舍放我们的东西。从餐厅到宿舍竟然要走这么远！还踩到泥，弄得我的鞋子这么脏（好在，刚才抹掉泥，鞋也干了）。我们才发现宿舍并不是学姐们让我们看到的这么干净舒服。地板很肮脏，床也很硬，而且房间竟然只有两个插头！两台电脑（我得和思敏的）就用掉了，那么，还有煮热水器，电视，桌灯要插去哪里？唯一好的地方就是有阳台，到时天气没有怎么冷了之后可以在那里晒衣服。=)

我和思敏发现有很多日常用品需要买，像是扫把，厕纸，衣架，垃圾桶/垃圾袋等等。加上今天又要交缴房费，课本，电话费，看来，开销不小哦！

思敏还在睡觉，等一下就要叫她起床了。今天早上老师会带我们去吃早餐和买东西，之后下午2点，会带我们参观校园。就不知道今天有没有时间打扫。

刚刚查了一下武汉的气温，现在是大约1-2摄氏度。天啊！比昨天更冷？！

期待中午能接到家里打来的电话。=)

明天，
我就要飞去一个我不熟悉的地方。
那里的天气、环境和口音都和这里不一样。
到了那里，一切都要靠自己。
不然，就靠朋友。
这句 “在家靠父母，出外靠朋友” 说得一点也没错。
一个人在外面，怎么靠父母呢？
他们在离武汉很远很远的新加坡。
真的只能靠自己了。

还没离开，就已经开始想念爸爸妈妈了。
还有我那调皮的弟弟和永远长不大的妹妹。

我是个会认床的人，到了那里，我看我又会失眠好几晚。
失眠的时候，我又会想什么呢？
一定是我的家人。

开始舍不得了，家里的一切和我的玩具。
本来我是想带微妮雄和我一起飞到那个陌生的地方，
但是，我怕把他在机场弄丢，
也担心海关人员误会我带毒品，
所以就打消了这个念头。
唯一陪伴着我的，只有小猪头。

有好多的未知数，都没有答案。
我会习惯那里的食物吗？
我会跟上那里的学业的进度吗？
我会在那里过得开心吗？

只有到了那里，才会知道答案吧。
现在的心情很复杂。
好想赶快在那里安顿下来，
这样我的心才能平复。

明天，
早上8点的班机就要起飞了。

明天，
我就不在新加坡了。

明天，
是时候长大了...

finally i know how to change blog skin...

hahax... from the title, you can guess I had a hard time changing the blogskin...

Yesterday, I was learning how to change blog skin on my own... I failed many times and was thinking why I failed... I even asked Vina to teach me... but I still cannot get it... I'm such a slow and stupid learner... >.<

But today, I have succeeded!! Yay!! I finally know to do change the blog skin le... hahax... (自豪...^^), but I'm still stuck at putting the tagboard... lolx... where do I get tagboard? hmm...

Ok, let me talk about what happened yesterday... there was a farewell for the year twos (well, we are flying to China soon...), organized by the year ones... thank you juniors!! I had fun... being the most 长气 (ehh... longwinded??) The farewell was ok, but I just cannot accepted the results of the lucky draw!! The year one committee members got most of the prizes from the lucky draw (What the?!) hello, this is the year twos farewell? lolx... and I was aiming for the swensen vouchers... but it went into one of the committees' hand... argghh... fine... I just don't have the luck...

As for today, I was awaken by the doorbell... whatsmore the bell button got stuck and keep ringing non-stop... lolx... after breakfast, I went to the temple at Bugis with my mummy and daddy, to pray for my safety in China... wow... it was very crowded, with people and all kinds of stalls... I even saw one stall selling "Unbreakable Pencil" and another selling shampoo which can make your hair turns black... hahax... cool...

After praying, we went to OG to shop... and I bought a winter coat at $89, I think the price is quite reasonable lahx... right?? Then we went to Daiso at IMM to buy body chemical warmers, gloves and socks... there are a lot of varieties, I had a hard time choosing... Travelling is quite troublesome... So many things need to prepare, so little time...

Reached home at around 1 plus, and for the rest of the day, I was trying hard to change the blogskin... watched xiaozhu's 100% entertainment online and updating blog... hahax...

Good Afternoon to all!!

after a long decision, i have decided to set up a blog...

What for?? you may want to ask, well, I'm flying to China, Wuhan on 27th Feb... and I'm going to stay there for 4 and 1/2 months. I want my friends and family know what I am doing there! hahax... what a lame reason...

3 more days and I'm flying to a country that I'm not familiar... I'm feeling kind of nervous and excited at the same time. This is my first time leaving the country and my first time to sit on the plane!! I'm trying to imagine how a plane look like inside... I really have no idea... maybe that's why I'm scared? And soon, my friends and I will be on our own, no more maids and mums taking care of us and doing the housework chores... well, it's time to be independent!

Still packing my luggage... Mummy keeps putting stuffs into my luggage, it's getting heavier... Daddy went to get some china money for me and the money will be my pocket money for the first month in china... hehex... first time holding so much money in my hands... $_$

Last sun, we just took a family photo for the first time after so many years!! We took once when we just moved in our new apartment... i was 11 years old then, and I'm now 18++ years old already... i looked kind of nerd then, with my hair all tied to the back... and now? take a look at the photo bahx...

It's time to grow up... right? =)
